​Hinckley Archery Club, founded in 1980 is a very friendly and inclusive club that welcomes old and new archers of all ages, either beginners or experienced.

Latest News 2020​


26th October 2020

  • Thursday evening shooting has finished now the clocks have changed, it may not be ideal for everybody, but while the weather is good we'll be shooting Friday lunchtime at 1:30pm from the 30th of October (this week) as well as Sunday mornings at 10:30am.

​9th October 2020

  • Updated the links page and added a new tab under it called Archery Information after I was contacted by somebody who was using our website as a source of information for education. Feel free to email me if you want any other links adding once I've verified them.

3rd October 2020

  • Start time now 4:30pm on a Thursday to try and make the most of the light.
  • The new membership year has started - existing members £80 adults, £25 young persons - the reduced rate for this year is due to us missing 5 months of shooting. We'll review new members when we know how many existing members have renewed.

14th September 2020

  • Thursday evening shoot will now start at 5:00pm to try and get more time in before it starts to get dark - check back here for the date of the final evening shoot of the year. Due to COVID restrictions we won't be shooting indoors this year so it will move to Sunday morning only while the weather is good. Check back here for more updates or the Facebook group.

25th August 2020

17th August 2020

  • Uploaded the minutes of the AGM held at the end of July
  • ​As below we've moved to a new location in Burbage, details of which can be found here: Parklands in Burbage  (click the link for directions.).
  • ​We aren't at present accepting visitors to shoot due to the numbers who can shoot, shooting for existing members is 5:30pm to 7:30pm on a Thursday and and 10:30am to 12:30pm on a Sunday.
  • As you enter the drive you will see a sign for visitors parking, at the bottom of the visitors car park there is a path to the field which is on the right.
  • Please do not contact the farm directly as they are only renting the field to us and are not involved in the club directly. Use our contact email address (shown below in green) or post a message via our Facebook Group.

10th August 2020

  • We've managed to locate a new field to shoot in and started shooting as of the 9th of August, we made an attempt to contact most members of the club - if we didn't get in touch you can email hinckleyarchery@gmail.com for details. We're shooting under the ArcheryGB Covid guidance located here (click the word here).
  • While we find our feed we aren't running any beginners courses but will look to see how we could in the future given the restrictions we are under.
  • ​If you contacted us about going and have previous experience we will be in touch to see how we can accommodate you.
  • We expect to be shooting outdoors at the new field until next year weather permitting as we aren't allowed to use the indoor facilities for the foreseeable future.

18th February 2020

  • Archery GB sent an email to members on the 17th of March advising that all Archery activities should cease for the foreseeable future, we will resume and move the equipment back outdoors to shoot when the situation changes.


2nd February 2020​

  • ​A new 6 week beginners Course - starts Thursday 27th February, 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Heathfield Lane (address on contact page) in the Sports Hall.  Course costs £40 per person payable on the first night.
